"After reviewing a few loft and extension companies I chose 4 to come out to give me costings on my projects. I found Colin & Paul from Lofts of London easy to get on with and nothing was an issue. Compared to the other estimates everything was set out line by line with all the costings and highlighted where there may be uplifts in the costs throughout the builds which helped with my budgeting. I had lot of confidence in them and they covered everything from drawing the plans, partywall agreements, local authority charges, structural calculations the works. "We obtained four quotes for our loft conversion , the one from Lofts of London was not the cheapest of the four but is was very detailed in its breakdown on the process and costings. They drew the plans, dealt with the structural calculations and building application and supplied us with a contract and payment schedule. The guys turned up on time everyday, they were very clean, tidy and polite and carried out the build to a very high standard, we requested extra work and in turn the job overran by a few weeks. "I interviewed lots of builders that seemed dodgy and sexist towards me as a single female living alone doing a major structural renovation but Colin was different. Good communication gave us both an understanding of what the brief was, what was possible and I had no reservations at any point of the project. Colin wouldn’t even quote me until I had the structural engineer calculations which is a huge indication of integrity and experience. He schedules all the costs in a document so I constantly knew where I stood financially, including variations. During the project nothing was a problem, anything that didn’t go to plan was solved, his team are great and I felt safe. They're tidy, take pride in their environment even if it is a building site. They are professional, clean and considerate. Hearing so many people have problems with their builders or contractors I felt like I won the builder lottery. They were very considerate of my eldery mother who has health & mobility issues and ensured accessibility to areas external & internal at all times and prioritised the workload so as to ensure minimal inconvenience & interference. Flat roofs were leaking & also needed an internal 'knockthrough' and Colin gave a detailed breakdown of the costs with possible adjustments if needed. The team always turned up on time and did a proper full day's work ie 8am - 4 or 5pm (depending on the light) unlike some builders. This meant that the job was completed efficiently & also to a very high standard updating me every day of the works progress. Frankie even turned up on a Sunday during progress of the work as there was a very heavy downpour the night before and wanted to ensure that everything was intact and water tight. So pleased with the work & attitude of this team. They are builders who really care. Cannot recommend them highly enough"

They expertly tackled our renovation – a non-compliant 1980s dormer loft – with great professionalism. "I found this company online, I had several estimates but none as detailed as this company, there were no extra costs from them other than my additional requirements and a couple from the building Inspector. They carried out the plans, structural calculations, party wall agreements and necessary applications to the local authorities, scaffolding, skips, labour & materials. there pricing is good and clear. I took up references and viewed two of there projects, one in the construction stage and one that had been completed, both clients were very happy with all the works and accounting throughout there projects. I am happy with the attention to detail of the works and the workers. I now am also now very pleased with my loft. I would recommend them."
